Lewis Hamilton turned his grief into compassion by opening Roscoe’s Haven, a shelter for abused and abandoned animals
Lewis Hamilton turned his grief into compassion by opening a rescue shelter for abused and abandoned animals, naming it after his beloved bulldog, Roscoe. The shelter’s mission is simple to offer love, care, and a new beginning to pets who’ve never known kindness.
Built on acres of open green space, Roscoe’s Haven provides medical care, food, and safe housing for injured or neglected animals. Lewis personally helped design the shelter, ensuring every area felt warm, clean, and full of life not cages, but comfort.
Volunteers often say Lewis visits quietly, walking the grounds and spending time with the dogs. He calls them his “little warriors,” believing each deserves the same love Roscoe received. For him, the project is more than charity it’s healing through giving.
The shelter has already rescued hundreds of animals and rehomed many with loving families. Every adoption certificate carries a paw print logo and the message, “For Roscoe who taught us love never fades.”
