 Remembering Steve Lawrence (1935 – 2024)

On March 6, 2024, the world said goodbye to a true legend. Steve Lawrence, beloved singer, actor, and one half of the iconic duo Steve & Eydie, passed away at the age of 88 — but his voice and spirit remain with us.

Steve rose to fame in the 1950s and ‘60s with a voice that defined an era — smooth, romantic, and unmistakably his own. His chart-topping hit “Go Away Little Girl” still echoes with the charm and grace he brought to every performance.

Alongside his wife and lifelong musical partner, Eydie Gormé, Steve captured the hearts of audiences around the world. Their chemistry, talent, and devotion made them a treasured part of American entertainment history.

More than just a performer, Steve was a class act — a man whose elegance, wit, and artistry left a lasting impression on everyone who heard him sing.

Though he’s gone, his music continues to play — reminding us of a time when love songs ruled the airwaves and entertainers had true soul.

Rest in peace, Steve. Your voice still lingers, and your legacy lives on.
