Woman charged with murdering partner at home in Port Pirie South
A woman has been charged over the alleged murder of a man in South Australia.
Emergency services were called to a home on Dorothy St in Port Pirie South about 2.15pm on Friday, where they found a 52-year-old man unconscious.
Paramedics attempted to revive the man, however he couldn’t be saved and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said a 42-year-old woman, believed to be the man’s partner who lived with him at the home, was arrested and has since been charged with murder.
She is expected to appear in court on Tuesday.
“Detectives from Major Crime Investigation Branch and officers from Forensic Response Section have travelled to the scene to assist with the ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the man’s death,” police said.
“Anyone with information that can assist the investigation is asked to call Crime Stoppers.”
