We remember and honor the life of Mark Dobies, a gifted actor whose presence graced both daytime television and the stage. Mark passed away on March 11, 2024, at the age of 65.

Best known to soap fans as Dr. Noah Chase on Guiding Light and D.A. Theodore Daniel Colson on One Life to Live and All My Children, Mark brought depth and dignity to every role he touched. His talent extended beyond soaps, with appearances in Just Shoot Me, Nash Bridges, Home Improvement, Melrose Place, and Gossip Girl between 1997 and 2016 — a testament to his range and versatility.

In 2004, he delivered a powerful performance in the Off-Broadway revival of The Normal Heart at the Public Theater in New York City — a role that underscored his passion and commitment to impactful storytelling.

Mark Dobies leaves behind a legacy of memorable performances and a quiet strength that resonated with fans and colleagues alike. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.
